About Me

Hello!

I'm Natalie and since I was a child I have always been interested in the metaphysical, esoteric, and spiritual arts - Astrology, Mediumship, Psychic Development, Dream Study, and Herbalism - and regularly practice these for my own enjoyment. However, I do have a special affinity for the profound history of Tarot and the rich and symbolic images it offers. Tarot has helped in my journey by allowing me to reconnect with my own inner guidance, explore my unique story as it was unfolding and support me as I worked through challenges and obstacles that I encountered along the way.

When I read the cards, I do so both intuitively and with their traditional meanings. I feel that using both allows me to delve deeper into the rich, nuanced story that the cards have to tell.

It gives me great joy to explore Tarot with others and use it as a divine and sacred tool to help them on this wonderful journey we call life.

My Thoughts on Tarot

Tarot tells a story - about you, your life, and the endless possibilities it holds. It is a way for us to tap into our internal stories, the ones we tell ourselves and the ones we inherently know and feel but have not acknowledged. It is important to remember that a reading of the cards is not the be-all end-all where something is destined to happen, written in stone. However, it does show us the trajectory of a path, idea, or thought at an exact moment in time. All of which, can be altered and rewritten with every decision and choice we make because we always have free will.

Tarot as a means of telling us our inner story, can help us to better understand our emotions, feelings, and thought processes. It can serve as a way to work through these things in our lives and to provide clarity, insight, and understanding. It is a reflection tool that can offer a new perspective, illuminate greater self-awareness, provide healing, and most importantly empower you to make choices you feel that align with your intuition and purpose.

Let Tarot and I help guide you to explore your story and what is possible!

Why "Medusa's Musings"?

The figure and symbol of Medusa holds a special place in my heart. She is tied to the history and culture of where my family and ancestors are from. In this way, she is seen as a protectress and guardian, echoing the ancient use of the Gorgoneion as a symbol meant to ward off evil.¹ She has become an emblem of the resilience and power of the people and land that I hold dear.

From a more esoteric perspective, some scholars have put forward the idea that her name means "Queen" or is associated with sovereignty and rulership, and that she was seen as being part of the Triple Goddess of the Divine Feminine (specifically aspects of the Crone).² She was also revered and worshipped in some matriarchal societies, before being adopted by the ancient Greeks, as a snake goddess representing birth, death, and rebirth.³

To me, she represents the protection, transformation, and divine power of the feminine - She reminds us to find the beauty in the unexpected and unimaginable, confront our fears, and to reconnect with our inner power and use it.

"Medusa's Musings" is in homage to her and the Divine Feminine within us all.
